At Quealy & Co we are always trying to be innovative and early adopters of the latest technology in our industry. When the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown restrictions hit in March 2020, we researched ways in which we could still give the same excellent customer service while keeping our staff and customers safe.

Throughout 2020, we were one of the first estate agents in the UK to adopt livestream viewings. This enables tenants or buyers to attend a live viewing event remotely by signing into an App.

What is a livestream viewing?

We conduct the property viewing event at a scheduled time, advertised in advance to prospective buyers or tenants and during the tour of the property anyone watching is able to ask questions in a live environment.

“The App is provided by an Australian company called Gavl who originally provided the livestream viewing service across Australia and New Zealand. Not only will has it enabled us to market properties more safely in a global pandemic, it gives buyers and tenants easy access to new homes that might be of interest.

Our lettings team are carrying out almost 100% of their first viewings via the Gavl app, keeping current tenants and homeowners as safe as possible.”

Limiting contact in the pandemic

The fact we can stay open as an industry means we must take extra care and remain vigilant in the efforts to keep colleagues, clients, and our local community safe. We will continue to apply strict Covid safety measures according to government guidelines whenever you come into contact with the Quealy team.

Gavl has allowed our lettings team to provide landlords with the excellent service they are used to from Quealy & Co, while playing our part to limit the spread of Covid-19. And with the proven success and popularity of livestream viewings, it will probably be here to stay when we return to some kind of normal...
